Shane Radbone

Shane Radbone founded as a 19 year old EFM, Executive
Fitness Management in 1991.
Over the course of 10 years, he grew EFM into the largest
corporate fitness business in Australia
with more than 4,500 clients and 30+ franchise sites. In 1994, Shane was
awarded the Australia Day business award for contribution to the Industry.
Shane successfully sold the company in 2000.
In 2000, Shane was appointed CEO of Wendy’s Ice Cream. In 6
years, he grew that business from $75m turnover to +$125m. This resulted in the
successful sale of Wendy’s in 2006 to private equity. Shane’s major focus was
on the customer service platform he launched called the “Flying Squad”
Shane was awarded the Young Leader of the Year award in 2005
for South Australia .
Over the course of the past 5 years, Shane has held CEO
roles at VIP Home services and also COO and CEO role at a publicly listed
franchise company.
In 2006, he was awarded the National KPMG Advise bank
business award for work completed in the business arts industry for business
planning in the sector
In early 2010, Shane was appointed COO of 7-Eleven, a $3.5bn
convenience store chain with more than 700 stores
In
his franchising career, Shane has interacted with more than 5,000 franchisees.
In late 2011, Shane decided due to family reasons to focus
more on his own business and formed the “Radicle Group”, which is a specialist
in business development, sales and people.
Shane also sits on the advisory board of two emerging
national companies.
Shane has completed 11 marathons, the Kokoda track and was a
previous director of Brink Productions, Chairman of the Julian Burton Burns
trust and currently sits on the St Vincent De Paul Business Development
Committee in South Australia .
Recently, he took 20 people on a father-son bike trip in Vietnam and raised $50,000 for St Vincent De
Paul.

Shane is a family man, with three children, aged 16,15 and
13. He has been married for 19 years.

Shane Radbone Julian Burton Burns Trust
Prof John Greenwood AMDr John Greenwood is the Burn Unit Director of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. On October 12th 2002 John along with Sheila Kavanagh and their Burns Assessment Team were the first to arrive in Darwin to operate and treat the unfortunate casualties of the Bali Bombings. John received an Honoury Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his outstanding service and courage. John is a co-founder of the Julian Burton Burns Trust. | |||
Wayne GriffithWayne Griffith suffered third degree burns during the 2005 Black Tuesday bushfires where 9 people lost their lives on the Eyre Peninsula. Wayne tragically lost his wife and two young grandchildren during the peak of the fires and has since contributed tirelessly, promoting the work of the Julian Burton Burns Trust and the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Wayne was awarded life membership of the Burns Trust in 2007. | |||
Sheila Kavanagh OAMSheila Kavanagh has been Head Clinical Nurse Consultant of the Royal Adelaide Burns Unit since 1996. Sheila was a member of the RAH Burns Assessment team which was sent to Darwin to assist in the care of the survivors of the Bali bombing and was recently awarded an OAM for her commitment, courage and service. Sheila is also a co-founder of the Julian Burton Burns Trust. | |||
Shane Radbone Shane Radbone was awarded life membership of the Julian Burton Burns Trust in 2009 in recognition of his leadership, guidance and passion as our inaugural Chairman. After incorporation of the Julian Burton Burns Trust in 2005, it was Shane's commitment and support that has enabled us to realise our vision of becoming Australia's first social enterprise committed to prevention, care and research associated with burn injury. The Julian Burton Burns Trust looks forward to Shane's continued input and support as a life member and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. | |||
Ian HillLion Ian Hill has been a familiar face around the Burns Trust for a number of years. In 2012, Ian was awarded Life Membership at the Burns Trust Party. Ian has been instrumental in initiating and driving a number of Lions Australia and Burns Trust projects resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars having been raised. Along with his committee, and with the support of Wife Sue, Ian has made (and continues to make) a significant contribution to the Burns Trust and burns community at large.
