Shane Radbone – Background.
Shane Radbone founded as a 19 year old EFM, Executive
Fitness Management in 1991.
Over the course of 10 years, he grew EFM into the largest
corporate fitness business in Australia
with more than 4,500 clients and 30+ franchise sites. In 1994, Shane was
awarded the Australia Day business award for contribution to the Industry.
Shane successfully sold the company in 2000.
In 2000, Shane was appointed CEO of Wendy’s Ice Cream. In 6
years, he grew that business from $75m turnover to +$125m. This resulted in the
successful sale of Wendy’s in 2006 to private equity. Shane’s major focus was
on the customer service platform he launched called the “Flying Squad”, which
drove sales in every store.
Shane was awarded the Young Leader of the Year award in 2005
for South Australia .
Over the course of the past 5 years, Shane has held CEO
roles at VIP Home services and also COO and CEO role at a publicly listed
franchise company.
In 2006, he was awarded the National KPMG Advise bank
business award for work completed in the business arts industry for business
planning in the sector
In early 2010, Shane was appointed COO of 7-Eleven, a $3.5bn
convenience store chain with more than 700 stores.
At 7-Eleven, he introduced the “Retail Activation” program,
which was aimed at driving a selling culture into the business. In
his franchising career, Shane has interacted with more than 5,000 franchisees.
In late 2011, Shane decided due to family reasons to focus
more on his own business and formed the “Radicle Group”, which is a specialist
in business development, sales and people.
Shane also sits on the advisory board of two emerging
national companies.
Shane is a family man, with three children, aged 16,15 and
13. He has been married for 19 years.
Shane has completed 11 marathons, the Kokoda track and was a
previous director of Brink Productions, Chairman of the Julian Burton Burns
trust and currently sits on the St Vincent De Paul Business Development
Committee in South Australia .
Recently, he took 20 people on a father-son bike trip in Vietnam and raised $50,000 for St Vincent De
Paul.
